My Cause Promotion

Now, as part of our commitment,

we’re offering a special opportunity

that can help you help your community.

What: SunTrust’s My Cause promotion offers SunTrust’s checking clients the choice
to have SunTrust give $100 to their favorite charitable organization, or to
receive a $50 gift card for their own cause.

When: My Cause promotion applies to any new SunTrust checking account
(personal or business) opened from August 6 through October 12, 2007.

Why: SunTrust’s involvement in the communities we serve has always been
an important part of our relationships. The My Cause promotion seeks to
continue SunTrust’s commitment and help raise money for charitable causes.
SunTrust is empowering clients to contribute to their charity of choice by
offering to make a $100 donation in the name of eligible clients.

Who: To be eligible, clients or U.S.-based businesses need to open a new
checking account, accept a new SunTrust Visa® Check Card, and make any
purchase with it. A household may have a maximum of two donations or gift cards

(one personal account and one business account).
The $100 donation can be directed to IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) organizations
as listed at www.suntrust.com/mycause.
